This was one of the many roadside fruit stands that you can see when you pass by Tupi, South Cotabato, on the General Santos Highway (Gensan-Koronadal City highway). Freshly-picked and really cheap. I paid 95 pesos (about 2USD) for 2 bundles of bananas, 3 whole pineapples, and 4 pieces of sweet papaya.
Bananas... I think there were 3 varieties on sale here... lakatan, latundan, and the really sweet senoritas... some ponkans (mandarin?), pomelo (though Davao pomelos are still the best), sweet papaya, chicos (not sure of its English name), jackfruits and pineapples. The apples are probably imported from China.
